How to Create (Multi) Wax Seals with A Glue Gun?

1. Use a glue gun is the most efficient way to seal dozens of envelopes. One package of 20 sticks is usually
enough to make 240-300 seals.
2. Choose a low-temp 0.44″ standard sized glue gun for our wax sticks.
3. Insert the first wax stick into the glue gun and allow to initially heat up. Rest the glue gun in the upright
standing position over the heat safe surface. Some wax may drip a bit.
4. Once the glue gun is ready, squeeze a quarter size amount onto your envelope
and place the seal in the center of the wax.
5. Let the wax cool for 15sec, carefully remove the wax seal and you’re done!
6. Keep your stamp on an ice pack between uses to avoid the wax stuck to the stamp if you plan to seal dozens!

Please bear in mind the glue gun was designed for glue stick which requires a much higer melting temperature
than the wax, so to keep the temperature low is the key.

  1. Kassiopia

I bought a similar kind at Michael’s to make wax seals on my wedding invitations and ran out. When I got these, they were even better! I got more quantity for my money, it’s a much richer shade of bronze, and the quality of the wax is excellent. It’s not stiff and doesn’t crack. These are my go to now for wax instead of the craft store!

  2. Alyssa S.

I would not consider myself to be a wax stamp connoisseur. Just a meager bride hoping to add a little oomph to her invites. This did the trick very nicely. Did not melt through the paper which was something I had been warned about. Looked great and worked well. Not related to this product, but if you are using a metal stamp, I recommend having a cup of ice off to the side to store it in as this wax makes the stamp HOT and it has a hard time hardening back up.

  3. Brianna

Was the perfect size for my glue gun! And the color was stunning! Made the perfect save the dates

  4. Olivia Bishop

I bought these gold wax sticks, as well as a hot glue gun and a weighted monogram stamp, from Amazon. They worked great together! It was so fun creating the seals for our wedding invitations. We have lots of sticks leftover, too!

  5. Mary

These glue sticks made wax seals SO easy! I was able to get them very even and in perfect circles almost every single time. These are definitely a better alternative. They stick perfectly and are very durable! No wax seals were broken of torn off during the mailing process. You also don’t have to pay for extra postage!

  6. Katlynn

This product melts very easily and took to the seal stamp extremely well. The only issue I encountered it HOW well it melted, it melted a little when it was just loaded into the hot glue gun and seeped minimally out the sides of the hot glue gun. Very pretty sparkly gold, would recommend if you are okay with a little mess. I also heated it with a lighter and that proved to be affective and less messy but if too much heat is applied it burns which is to be expected.

  7. Fallon

I used this wax for my wedding invitations and loved the antique gold, brassy color. So elegant. The wax seals were quite inexpensive to make but added a beautiful touch to my invitations. They were very easy to make, even relaxing. I used a glue gun and a bowl of ice water (to cool down the stamp) to speed up the process. I made almost 150 wax seals and I have 4 sticks left over. I think one package of wax could make 250-300, probably?

  8. Saramona

Beautiful deep gold color. DOES NOT WORK with a mini glue gun. Works perfectly with a large gun, but make sure you unplug it every now and then. If it gets too hot it tends to have little air bubbles.Don’t try to melt it on your own…let’s just say…no, you can’t microwave it. However the oven works 😂
